Our Story

Meet Ntsika Gqomfa — Your Local Guide & Historian

The Kruger safari was the highlight of our honeymoon. Seeing five of the Big Five in two days felt like winning the lottery. Ntsika's tracking skills are incredible, and his storytelling made every animal encounter come alive.

As a university professor, I brought my students here for a semester abroad programme. Kamva Safari Africa designed an educational experience that was academically rigorous yet deeply engaging. My students still talk about it years later.

We booked a full-day Johannesburg and Soweto tour and it exceeded every expectation. Ntsika's passion for his country is contagious. We learned more in one day than in months of reading. Already planning our return trip!

Our family of four did the Panorama Route tour and it was breathtaking. Ntsika knew all the best photo spots and kept the kids entertained with fascinating facts about the geology and wildlife. Truly a family-friendly adventure.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your South African adventure with us.

Is South Africa safe for tourists?
Absolutely. South Africa is one of Africa's most visited destinations, and millions of tourists visit safely every year. As your local guide, I ensure all routes, areas, and activities are carefully planned for your safety. We follow established protocols and use trusted transport — giving you peace of mind so you can focus on enjoying the experience.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), PayPal, and mobile payments. For international clients, we provide detailed banking information upon request. A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due before or on the day of your tour.
Can I book a private tour instead of joining a group?
Yes! Private tours are our specialty. You choose the destinations, pace, duration, and even the stops along the way. Private tours offer the flexibility to create a truly personalised experience, whether you're travelling solo, as a couple, or with family.
Are your tours suitable for children and families?
Many of our tours are family-friendly, and we love hosting families. We can adjust the pace, include child-appropriate activities, and provide car seats upon request. Please let us know the ages of your children when booking so we can tailor the experience accordingly.
Do you offer accessibility accommodations?
We strive to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. Many of our vehicles can be fitted with ramps, and several of our sites are wheelchair accessible. Please inform us of any specific requirements when booking, and we'll work with you to ensure a comfortable experience.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance for standard tours, and 1–3 months for multi-day safaris and peak-season travel (December–February). However, last-minute bookings are often possible — just get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What is included in your tour packages?
Most packages include professional guide services, transportation in a comfortable vehicle, entrance fees to attractions, and bottled water. Some include meals and refreshments. Each tour listing specifies exactly what's included, and we always encourage you to ask questions before booking.
Can I customise my own itinerary?
Of course! Our customised private tours are designed entirely around your interests. Tell us what excites you — whether it's wildlife, history, food, photography, or adventure — and we'll build a day-by-day plan that matches your vision perfectly.
